91ѡ Named Top School in 'Variety's' Education Impact Report
91ѡ’s Volume wall has expanded the storytelling capabilities of the school’s student filmmakers.91ѡ has been named one of the leading film schools in “Variety’s” annual Education Impact Report, which highlights the offering degrees in film.
The report underscores how top film schools are adapting to a rapidly evolving industry while maintaining a strong foundation in storytelling. As higher education navigates mounting pressures, such as the rise of AI, institutions featured on “Variety’s” list adjust to meet the moment.
“Inclusion on “Variety’s” list affirms 91ѡ’s commitment to preparing the next generation of storytellers and creative leaders,” says Eric Scholl, interim co-director of 91ѡ’s School of Film and Television.
“Variety” recognized 91ѡ for its faculty of working professionals and expansive soundstage facilities, which includes the 35,500 square-foot Media Production Center that houses 91ѡ’s Volume wall where students produce films using virtual production technology. The report also highlighted 91ѡ’s Semester in LA program, which connects students to industry professionals through its lecture series at Fox Studios, and 91ѡ’s new master’s degree in Screenwriting and Development, which is accepting applications for fall 2026.
91ѡ alum, actress Chase Infiniti '22, got a special nod from “Variety,” with the publication noting that Infinity “took awards season by storm” with her breakout performance in “One Battle After Another.”
